Field Best Practices
Item / SKUKey – 30–60 characters, no leading/trailing spaces, avoid commas and tabs.
Display Name / Title – Plain text, 5–120 characters, use standard casing (e.g. “Force 8 WP Men’s Black”).
UPC / EAN / BarcodeNumeric – All digits, no spaces, hyphens, or quotes; store as text if using spreadsheet formatting.
Internal ID / Parent Item – Stable identifier used for updates; do not change between imports.
Size / Variant Attributes – Use consistent patterns such as “11.0/EU44” or “W10.5/EU43.5”; avoid extra descriptive text in these fields.
For NetSuite CSV imports, avoid formulas, merged cells, formatting symbols, and any extra header/footer rows. Keep a single header row and then clean data rows only.
Alignment Helper (Template Side Notes)
When you click “Align & Facilitate”, this area will describe how the cleaned columns should map into your saved NetSuite import template
(e.g. Item Name/Number, Display Name, UPC Code, Parent Item, etc.) and reference your 7 Excel helper equations.
