Developer / Advanced

This page uses the File System Access API when available (Chrome / Edge). It stores a lightweight index (names, paths, snippets, timestamps) in localStorage only on your device.
How it works
When you add a folder, the browser asks permission. The page reads filenames, last modified dates and small text snippets (for text files). You can also import JSON activity and it will extract searchable text and metadata. Searches match title, path, and snippet. No network upload occurs unless you export the index yourself.
